CINDY CHEW YOKE THING (Ms) holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of London, England and a Certificate of Legal Practice, Malaysia. She also holds a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the Association of the Institute of Bankers, Malaysia, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from International Islamic University Malaysia and a Masters in Islamic Finance from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Kuala Lumpur.

Prior to entering the legal profession, she was attached to Malayan Banking Berhad and has broad experience in banking operations, loan processing, credit analysis and industry studies. Upon completion of her pupilage in 1992 at Messrs Nik Saghir and Ismail, she was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and started her legal practice at the same firm. In 1995 she joined Messrs Albar Zulkifly & Yap and was thereafter made a partner of Messrs Albar & Partners in January 2000 when the firm of Messrs Albar Zulkifly & Yap was dissolved in December 1999. She was a partner of Messrs Albar & Partners for four (4) years until she left to join Messrs Aziz Hon Annuar on 1st January 2004. She specializes in banking, project finance and capital market instruments (both conventional and Islamic) and has worked on projects in various sectors including telecommunications, petroleum and gas, water, energy, power and infrastructure projects. She also advises on corporate debt restructuring and work-outs, property transactions and housing projects.
